The handles of kitchen tools, from knives to spatulas, are often linear, out of ease of manufacture or cost.  Crafting a set of salad tongs from a single block of mahogany, I explored the use of organic geometries to improve handle ergonomics.

This project focused on the industrial design of the salad tongs.  In creating a new version of an old product, I engaged heavily with form development, hand sketching, and woodworking to create a  differentiable salad tong designed with intention.
